Neocaridina “Yellow Cherry” shrimp (a color morph of Neocaridina davidi) are small, freshwater dwarf shrimp prized for their bright yellow coloration and ease of care. Typically reaching 2–3 cm in length, they thrive in stable aquariums with temperatures around 22–26°C and a neutral to slightly alkaline pH. Hardy and beginner-friendly, they are popular in planted tanks where they help control algae and consume leftover food.
These shrimp are peaceful, social scavengers that do best in groups, often breeding readily under good conditions. Females carry eggs under their abdomen until they hatch into miniature shrimp. Their vibrant color adds excellent contrast against green plants, making them a favorite for aquascaping enthusiasts.
