About Absolute Shrimp

Absolute Shrimp began with one small tank and a handful of Blue Dream Neocaridina. That first colony sparked a passion I couldn't ignore.

My shrimp-keeping journey started simply—with one guppy tank and a few Amano shrimp. But the more often I visited aquarium shops, the more fascinated I became by the vibrant colors and unique personalities of freshwater shrimp.

Eventually, I bought my first tank from a breeder and took the plunge with Blue Dream Neocaridina shrimp. That first colony sparked a hobby that quickly grew into a true passion. I started with Neocaridina shrimp, then ventured into the more delicate and demanding world of Caridina.

What began as a single tank has now grown into an impressive collection of 54 tanks filled with Neocaridina and Caridina shrimp. Along the way, I’ve learned the importance of careful selection, consistent care, and diligent culling to maintain healthy, vibrant colonies. I’m also constantly working on my own breeding projects, experimenting with new ideas, and enjoying the excitement of seeing each generation develop.

I created this site to share my passion with fellow shrimp keepers. Here, you’ll find shrimp food and aquarium products that are internationally recognized, as well as the products I personally use and trust in my own tanks.
