The Pure Black Line (PBL) is a premium, selectively bred freshwater dwarf shrimp from the Caridina family. Developed by dedicated breeders in Japan, the PBL is a highly refined color variant of the classic Crystal Black Shrimp (Caridina cf. cantonensis).
Key Characteristics
Deep Coloration: It is famous for its intense, solid opaque black bands paired with a stark, milky-white body.
True Breeding: Unlike standard Crystal Blacks, PBLs are genetically pure. They will never give birth to red offspring.
Grading System: High-grade specimens feature completely solid leg coloration and a flawless, thick white shell with no transparency.
Care Level: They are sensitive and require expert care. They need soft, acidic water, an active buffering soil substrate, and a stable temperature around 22°C.
